Sharon, Arafat not peacemakers
Mods: doesn't really seem I/P, some lovely quotes.

Paris - US former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright says the Israeli and Palestinian leaders, Ariel Sharon and Yasser Arafat, are "stubborn old men who hate each other"; and she doubts that either are peacemakers.

---

"Chirac's dream is to counterbalance America, but that's not possible"; said Albright. "It is better for France and America to be on the same side because we are the most capable of getting things done"

---

"Now I think the Allies should stay in Iraq" she said. "I don't think there's a link between Iraq and al-Qaeda but terrorists want to go there to kill Americans."

Priceless.

---

"The ideologues of the Bush administration wanted already to invade Iraq in 1997. What's happening today is the result of ideology, bad calculations and things that were not foreseen" she said.

1. Ms. Albright certainly is spot on with this observation.....
Would both peoples give the hook to each of them, peace might bloom. Instead, well, we know what "instead" is....

The Clinton years are like a distant dream back
before the lunatics stole the key to the asylum.

Even if I disagreed with some of their policies
at least they were rational and not faith based.

4. Er...keep in mind one thing:
Albright is the one who, by her own words, believed 500,000 dead Iraqi children was a price worth paying to keep the sanctions on Iraq.

Just so you know.

It wasn't based on a predestination by GOD like
the current war mongering is.

It was wrong and in many ways paved the way
for the unilateral preventive war policy.
