30 Bodies Found in Iraq Mass Grave

(CBC) -- Captured insurgents in Iraq led authorities to a mass grave in Baghdad containing 30 bodies on Sunday.

It was unclear who was in the two-week-old grave or how they died, but at least two women were among the dead, Col. Selam al-Maamuri of Iraq's Interior Minister said.

Iraqi forces killed one insurgent in a raid on Sunday and captured 13 others, some of whom confessed to dumping bodies in the grave, al-Maamuri said. The detained included an Egyptian and a Sudanese man.

The grave was in the Owerij industrial district of southern Baghdad.
