1. There are 6 pending notification
of family today. If you go to http://www.thefinalrollcall.us/ you can see the names, ages, and ranks of our military that have died. If you google a name, you can find out if they were married, or left children behind. These were human beings, not simply numbers. The above list each death or wounded on a daily basis. What a waste of human life. What a waste of our future.

2. I've been blogging some of them on another site
it's heartbreaking.

Right now it's an adventure for 19-year-old Nicholas Bloem, who intends to make a career in the military. After returning from Iraq, he plans to finish college and enlist as an active-duty Marine. "I just wanted to be a Marine,'' he said. "I love it. I'm going to stay in 20 years."

- Jan 2005 interview. Nick Bloem was killed Aug 3.

From the same interview: "I am thinking it's going to be fun,'' said Storer, a 22-year-old Idaho Falls, Idaho, reservist. "As of now. I haven't been there yet, so I can't really say what it will be like."

Every one of these is so sad.
