FBI Investigating Local Homeland Security Agents (for assault, torture)
FBI Investigating Local Homeland Security Agents --Up To Six Accused Of Assault, Torture

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Allegations that as many as six federal Homeland Security deportation agents assaulted and tortured a Nigerian man who was shackled at Oklahoma City's Immigration and Customs Enforcement office are being investigated by the FBI, according to a published report.

Complaints were filed by the Nigerian, Daso Abibo, 51, and by Deanna Burdine, 65, a former Homeland Security employee who says she walked in on the assault.

6. Since the theft of the Presidential election in 2000...
we have been under relentless siege by the neocon, fundie, fascist elements in our country. Actions like those committed by the local Homeland Security agents should have been predictable once the so-called Patriot Act was rammed down our throats.

We have been betrayed by our politicians, our press, and even many of our churches. We see outpourings of hate, as well as love, expressed toward a grieving mother, trying to get face to face answers about why her son died from the man who sent him, and so many others, to die, too.

We have illegally invaded another country, have an AG who thinks torture is fine, and now it's all coming back to haunt us. It's sad that I find the gentleman's story all too believable, based on our government's actions the last few years.

Any of us could be placed in the path of vindictive and sadistic government employees, for any reason, or none, any time, or any place. I still find myself being almost numb with pain and disbelief, at the thought of what we have become.

7. Maverick insanity
It was totally inevitable that this kind of thing would happen, and that it be happening a hundred times more often than is reported, I suspect. That's what happens when you empower a group of people with unlimited powers and zero oversight, all manner of abuses will occur, and every kind of insane maverick bullshit 'investigation' you could think of.

9. Bush favors torture. It's obvious. Why would any law-officer imagine
he/she would be seriously punished for engaging in it? Bush set these low, low standards long ago.

This lady needs her job back, the idiot psychopaths who tortured the man need to lose their jobs, go to jail, and their guest of honor needs to be offered a reverse deportation, if he would even dream of setting foot in this country again, and there should be an official apology, and compensation for his loss of wages, hardship, etc., etc.

I hope the lady gets her chance to communicate her message to the victem, and that he will be informed it was so important to her that she was willing to leave her job in order to speak out about what happened to him.
