SYDNEY, Australia (Reuters) -- Scientists in Australia's tropical north are collecting blood from crocodiles in the hope of developing a powerful antibiotic for humans, after tests showed that the reptile's immune system kills the HIV virus.

3. Lets just hope this doesn't become like the shark/cancer fiasco

Where people started eating shark cartilidge because someone said sharks don't get cancer (which they actually do) and wiped out large populations through over-fishing.

I could see a major black market demand in Africa and Asia for crocodile blood to cure HIV, even if simply drinking it does nothing.
