Tube death team to brief family

Officials investigating the fatal police shooting of a Brazilian man mistaken for a London bomb suspect are to meet lawyers acting for his family.

The meeting was arranged after leaked documents contradicted earlier accounts of how Jean Charles de Menezes died at Stockwell Tube station on 22 July.

The investigators will tell the lawyers about their initial findings and try to reassure them the inquiry is on track.

Mr Menezes' family has said those responsible should be jailed for life.

1. Not only should those responsible be jailed

for life, the man's family should receive mega-compensation for it. No amount of money will bring him back, of course, but that's not really the point of it. I couldn't believe when I saw on the news today just how badly the police really fucked up in this case. He did NOT have a backpack, he was NOT armed, he presented NO threat at all, yet they acted as if her were the target in a shooting gallery. Unbelievable.

2. OMG! Look at the photo they have in the BBC story! His shoes are off!

The poor guy was chased down like a "hunted" animal, thrown to the ground and knocked out of his shoes!

There is definitely more to this story than what the official and so-called official reports have said....
