KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) - A roadside bomb explosion in southern Afghanistan on Thursday killed two U.S. soldiers and wounded two, the U.S. military said.

The soldiers were traveling in an armored vehicle north of Kandahar, part of a convoy supporting a road construction project, the U.S. military said in a statement.

The two wounded soldiers were evacuated to Kandahar Airfield for medical treatment. Both were in stable condition, the statement said.

8. So the women don't have to wear burkas and the men can shave
so all the Afghans can smile at us as we steal and use their country as we see fit.

we are in Iraq because the terrorists are in Saudi Arabia.

......now back to the steroid scandal. Congress is hopping mad and is gonna bring back Rafael Palmeiro, one of junior's pals.

3. Meanwhile the Eastern Front begins to heat up for Bush
Most Americans don't even realize that President Karzai remains confined behind the heavily guarded Presidential Palace in Kabul, a prisoner in his own country.

Women in Afghanistan are as oppressed under Karzai as they were under the Taliban.

Bush will preside over the first American defeat in two wars simultaneously, Iraq and Afghanistan.

4. Two U.S. Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan

August 18,2005 | KABUL, Afghanistan -- A roadside bomb explosion in southern Afghanistan on Thursday killed two U.S. soldiers and wounded two, the U.S. military said.

The soldiers were traveling in an armored vehicle north of Kandahar, part of a convoy supporting a road construction project, the U.S. military said in a statement.

These terrorists are attacking the very forces working to improve Afghanistan," said Brig. Gen. Jack Sterling, a deputy commander of the U.S.-led coalition. "It's unconscionable that the Taliban would do something like this. They only offer death and continued suffering to the people of Afghanistan."

The deaths bring to 182 the number of U.S. service members killed in and around Afghanistan since the start of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001.

The Taliban are getting stronger and bolder. Are we losing two wars at once?

6. It seems that way.
But what else would you expect from the War President who has to balance his life with bicycle riding on his five week vacation and ...

He has been a miserable failure at everything he has ever done in his life.

7. I haven't heard much about the Spanish helicopter crash
Since it happened. They haven't verified whether it was an accident or a shoot-down.
