BTK killer 'revealed sex motive'

The man who confessed to the "Bind, Torture, Kill" murders in the US had a sexual motive in picking his first victims, a sentencing judge has heard.

Killer Dennis Rader told police he targeted Josephine Otero, 11, because he was attracted to Hispanics.

Rader, a former church leader, pleaded guilty in June to the murders of 10 people in the city of Wichita in Kansas between 1974 and 1991.

I have followed the case well before this sick Freek was captured.

I am still convinced that one of the internet boards he frequented is Free Republic. Every few weeks I do a quick little site search, using google, to see if someone hasn't finally fessed up over there and told the truth that Rader is one of them.

I have added that Gung Ho' Cross bashing redneck from Waco to my "I know that person MUST be a Freeking Freeper" watch list.

But there is nothing in this guy's life that could have predicted or prevented his behavior. That's the truly scary part of all of this.

this guy was hanging stray dogs in the barn before 1974.
Perhaps that's what he is alluding to in the OP article, that his "troubles" began in school.
Most of these serial killers start out by abusing and killing animals.
Any child or adolescent who exhibits cruelty towards animals should receive psychiatric help immediately, before they turn into a Dahmer.

very sad. Was adopted at age 3 found digging in garbage to find food for his baby brother... mother addict living on street.

He tried to poison a 4th grader and expelled permanently from school district. No help here for him. He sits on porch all day as parents won't allow him in house while at work...so he does devilish deeds all day in the neighborhood with our pets.

They say it comes from intense rage and I can see that.

we live in remote area.. adopted parents need to move to get care for him. At present he's been in Head Start with 4 yr olds.

Every available agency in this small area knows him very well.
