War Protest Continues Outside Bush Ranch
By ANGELA K. BROWN, Associated Press Writer

Although their leader had just departed because of a family emergency, anti-war demonstrators here didn't miss a beat, marching closer to President Bush's ranch to deliver handwritten letters.

The protest camp outside Bush's ranch resumed its activities Thursday shortly after Cindy Sheehan — whose 24-year-old son Casey died in Iraq — learned that her 74-year-old mother had a stroke in Los Angeles and made preparations to leave. "I'll be back as soon as possible, if it's possible," Sheehan said before hugging tearful supporters and heading for the airport.

Sheehan's mother is stabilized, Mimi Evans, one of the demonstrators, said during a news conference in Crawford on Friday. She offered no additional details on the mother's condition.

FBI whistleblower Coleen Rowley and Sen. Becky Lourey, a Minnesota lawmaker whose son died in Iraq, joined the protesters Thursday and planned to stay for a few days. Rowley said going to war was a mistake because the link between Iraq and al-Qaida was exaggerated.

1. Wait, did Rowley say "exaggerated" or is AP paraphrasing?

I prefer the uncensored but I didn't know if it passed the new sig line requirements since mine disappeared yesterday. So I edited it thinking the word fuck was the problem. Can we still say fuck bush in our sig lines?

edit: aw hell, I put it back and will see if it stays. Thank you for the inspiration! :)
