Summer of Scandal for Politicians in U.S.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Ohio Gov. Bob Taft is hardly the only politician these days to be hit by scandal. He's just the only one to admit he was wrong.

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, is fighting ethics charges. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is too. And two federal lawmakers are under investigation over financial dealings.

``There does seem to be a spate of scandals these days,'' said Charles Lewis, founder of the Center for Public Integrity. ``It seems to be heavier than it's been for a while.''

For DeLay, it is fund-raising practices and lobbyist-financed travel that are under scrutiny. Schwarzenegger dropped out of a lucrative deal with a publishing company when he was criticized for possible conflicts of interest

7. Nice To See This Make News
But I want to see it as an A1 story in an U.S. paper like the NYT or the

8. That would offend advertisers who give large sums to support the crooks
Effing corporate MSM can stick it up where the sun don't shine. Even though the US taxpayers are getting ripped off in the big time billions it is more important to keep the advertisers, hedge fund, bond, options and stock holders happy. Without them kind of peoples support the news editors jobs disappears quickly. Who ever reads that crap thinking they have the subscribers in their best interests is living in La-la-land.
