Bulgaria Withdraws Its Soldiers from Iraq Foreign Minister State
Sofia/Skopje. “By a decision of the Bulgarian Parliament till the end of the year Bulgaria will withdraw its battalion of 470 soldiers from the staff of the International Forces in Iraq”, Macedonian TV A1 quoted Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin as saying for a Sofia’s daily today. In Minister Kalfin’s words the decision for the withdrawal will be taken after consultations with the USA.

This must be because the left gained in the recent elections. Unlike in Poland and Hungary, the left in Bulgaria, particularly the "ex-communists," are not slaves to the whims of the US. I think many of these "ex-communists" were so used to being subservient to "socialist big brother" that now they are cowed by "capitalist big brother."

9. Bulgaria is used to being subservient
with limited resistance.

They did so for the Kaiser, the Fuhrer, the Soviets, now US. Their loyalty and subservience has and always has had its limitations...just as it did with the Ottomans.

Lived there for 3 years and am married to one.
