'Flag In Toilet' Painting Removed

Aug. 23 - A controversial painting has been removed from a lunch room at the State Department of Justice headquarters in Sacramento.

The painting titled: "T'anks to Mr. Bush" showed a US map inside a toilet. It and two other pieces were part of a display put on by Lawyers For the Arts.

A spokesman says Attorney General Bill Lockyer ordered the picture moved because of growing tensions over the Middle East, and not because of public complaints.

3. I agree that Bush has flushed the respect that the world had for..

..the United States. And I agree that everyone has the right to expression.

But attempting to be offensive is the modus operandii of the right wing- ala Hannity, Limbaugh etc.

Now that the moderates are trending towards our side, I feel that we should be accomodating and voice our opinions with reason and calm designed to convince, not offend.
