Specter to question drug agents who sued Fisher

Sen. Arlen Specter will meet with two state narcotics agents on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., to discuss Pennsylvania Attorney General Mike Fisher's federal judicial nomination.

The agents, John McLaughlin and Charles Micewski, won a $1.5 million civil suit against Fisher and other members of his office in February after a jury trial in Wilkes-Barre.

They said Fisher and his deputies retaliated against them after they complained that federal authorities allowed a CIA-backed drug dealer to get away.

After they complained, federal and state authorities stopped prosecuting their cases and began investigating the agents for alleged misconduct. The agents were cleared of any wrongdoing.<snip>

I am very glad Specter is taking it seriously, because it wouldn't matter if a Dem tried to look into this. This guy Fisher should be an embarrassment to the Repugs.
