KABUL, Aug 27 (Reuters) - One U.S. soldier was killed and four were wounded by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan, a U.S. military spokeswoman said on Saturday, the latest casualties in a surge of violence in the run-up to a Sept. 18 election.

"There were five wounded and one died," said U.S. military spokeswoman, Lieutenant Cindy Moore.

"The IED (improvised explosive device) struck their humvee," she said, referring to the military vehicle involved in the Friday attack in Paktika province, south of Kabul, near the Pakistani border.

4. The forgotton war is also a blueprint for Iraq
Everything thats going wrong in Iraq has already been done in Afganistan
-the intelligence failures
-the logistical failures (undermanned and undersupplied)
-ignoring bin Ladin and 9/11 to go after SH
- the security failures, failing to secure the border
-declaring victory where there was none

The US holds Kabal, where their puppet has the power of a mayor. The war lords there are just like the tribal factions in Iraq, powered by herion money.

This is gonna blowback this time

5. That implication (Bush left Afghanistan unfinished) needs ...
... a lot more attention.

Afghanistan was the "popular war," the one everyone agrees was necessary. Bush blew it in Afghanistan when he took us into Iraq. No attempt to encompass the extent of War Bush's War Folly is complete without mentioning that fact.

6. given that al Qaeda is a CIA front and 9/11 was false flag...
Afghanistan is about nothing more than a pipeline and getting heroin production up to pre-Taliban levels.

3. Rest in peace, Soldier.
We should have finished the mission in Afghanistan and had the troops home by now. But Bush abandoned Afghanistan to let his corporate bosses sit on the Iraqi oil. Now we are failing both missions.
