A lone rocket struck a German military camp in northeast Afghanistan overnight hours after German Defense Minister Peter Struck arrived in the country, a NATO military official told AFP Sunday. The rocket attack late Saturday on the Provincial Reconstruction Team in northeastern Faizabad did not cause any injuries and was over 150 kilometers (240 miles) away from Kunduz city where Struck was spending the night, Major Andy Elmes, spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), said. "Last night at 2248 (1828 GMT), the camp received a rocket into the compound. It landed without detonating properly, no injuries. The German defense minister was nowhere in the region," Elmes said. ~snip~
