8 Marines Charged in Iraq Death
Edited on Sat Oct-18-03 07:05 PM by guajira
Sounds like this could be just the beginning!

snippets:
CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - Eight Marine reservists stationed at Camp Pendleton have been charged in connection with the June death of an Iraqi man who was held at a detention facility in Iraq, authorities said.

All eight men, who belong to the 2nd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, are being held at Camp Pendleton.

Lisbon acknowledged the charges stemmed from a case in which an Iraqi man died while being detained by U.S. authorities. He would not, however, say whether the case in question was that of a 52-year-old Iraqi prisoner of war, whose corpse was found June 6 at a camp run by the 1st Marine Division near Nasiriyah. The man had been held at the camp in southern Iraq since his capture May 3.

In a separate case, four military police from a Pennsylvania-based Army Reserve unit were charged in July with punching, kicking and breaking bones of prisoners at Camp Bucca, the largest U.S.-run POW camp in Iraq. Those soldiers and their families have denied the accusations.

1. There is apparently no training
In any population there are sadists and fiends of all sorts. One only needs to look at Rodney King incident to see the police gone mad. The Chicago police riots in 1968 also come to mind. I personally know of 2 delegates to the Chicago Democratic convention in 1968. They have told me the Chicago police dept acted like beasts and devils. They were out of control.

The purpose of training is to weed these types out of the military. Obviously there are problems here.

6. the reason for the existence
of military police detachments is to arrest and shoot deserters. The care and feeding of prisoners of war is secondary at best. Most of those who did the real work of the so called holocaust of the 1940's were mp's and civilian police.

As a true blue follower of old king cole I must declare that there's none so fair as the airborne infantry and mp's are not to be trusted because they are truly the lowest of the low. Anyone who would shoot a countryman for desertion, simply because he's running away, from overwhelming odds, to fight another day, can scaresly merit the descriptor: HUMAN. If they were worth the boots they wear they would be driving trucks and the grunt's wouldn't have to buy their beer from the Iraqi's.

3. You release the Dogs of War,
Edited on Sat Oct-18-03 07:34 PM by ThorsteinVeblen
and you release Satan in all his savage, brutal glory.

Gentle, middle-American boys become savages, gang rapists and sadistic butchers, hungry for blood. Evolution has bred men to kill. When evil men, who control the myths that resonate deeply in the ignorant, unleash the beast there is no rational response. Holding these foot soldiers responsible for their actions is a joke. George W. Bush should be the one in prison, held for trial. It is he who bears the responsibilty for their actions.

There is no law in war. Bush has demonstrated this axiom. Unprovoked aggresive action, brutal butchery, will to power, are the only laws. Neitzsche dictates the law to our "leaders" and they lick his feet and eat his shit.

Conservatives are heartless, mindless, souless, insatiable savages devouring anything and everything good surrounding them. Cannibalistic black holes growing larger and larger, devouring the weak, sacrificing the helpless to their black, horned god.

7. very close to being
absolute pure offal.

Most of the poor sorry mother's sons just wanna go home and most will never have the inclination or opportunity to rape or murder.

BUT...If it all goes on too long, and discipline breaks down, It could get as nasty as Pomerania in '45 or Mindanao in (18)99. The huk's didn't come out of nowhere you know.

One more point of disagreement, there is a Law of War. It has been codified by the international treaties casually referred to a the Geneva and Hague Conventions. All soldiers are also, and at all times, when in the service of the sovereign Peoples of the united States of America, subject to the Common Law of the several States as it existed at the time the Constitution which united those States was ratified.

It'll be interesting to see if the mods there let this stand.

Some choice comments -

"If it is an Iraqi, it is our enemy. They are not even human."

"A medal for eliminating the enemy."

Speechless.
