Baghdad – The Iraqi National Accord Movement, headed by the former Prime Minister, Iyad Allawi, has accused the Iraqi governmental National Guard forces of attacking Allawi's special guards.
A statement by the movement, which has been published by AFP yesterday, said, "At 11 p.m. (the day before yesterday night), an armed attack has taken place against the special guards of the former Iraqi Prime Minister, Iyad Allawi, which led to the injury of some of them, who were immediately taken to Al Yarmouk Hospital, west of Baghdad."
The statement pointed out, "The elements of the Iraqi National Guard that conducted the attack are among battalion 302." The statement condemned "such attacks that are supported by the current Iraqi government."
