MOSCOW, August 31 (Itar-Tass) -- Wider all-round relations with the Arab countries is Russia’s foreign policy priority, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the opening of a session of the Russian-Arab business council.

He specifically emphasized energy as a major sphere of Russia’s cooperation with the Arab countries.

“The stability of the world energy and the global economy on the whole depend on our concerted action in the energy market,” he said.

Lavrov believes that “time is ripe to give thought to whether Russian and Arab companies should present a common front in the markets of third countries.”
