Congressman Announces 2006 Nev. Gov. Bid

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Congressman Jim Gibbons joined what's expected to be a crowded 2006 field for governor, declaring his candidacy Wednesday in a speech emphasizing education and government restraint.

``We can always do better and we will by making sure government respects the wishes of those who fund it - the hardworking taxpayers,'' Gibbons told a crowd of supporters.

A conservative Republican from northern Nevada, Gibbons made his announcement alongside former vice presidential candidate Jack Kemp, a noted fiscal conservative who previously represented New York in Congress.

Polls show Gibbons as the early front-runner to succeed Gov. Kenny Guinn, a moderate Republican who will leave office at the end of 2006 after two four-year terms. Guinn has said he will endorse the winner of the Republican primary.

2. this news is two days old in Nevada and the polls mentioned

are Repuke based. This meathead met with Karl Rove during opening week of the Wynn casino in Vegas. So his campaign will be shitty lies. We can count on it.

This meathead stumped for Bush and his WMD bullshit. Try a google search like this: Gibbons WMD and you will see what I mean. He even went to Iraq to help prove the Iraqis had WMD.
