Critics blame Iraq war for disaster-relief glitches

WASHINGTON - As President Bush inspected Hurricane Katrina's devastation of the Gulf Coast on Friday, critics claimed that his priorities on everything from Iraq to global warming contributed to the disaster.

They blamed the Iraq war for draining money from Army Corps of Engineers levee improvements that might have protected New Orleans from floods, and for sending National Guard troops to the Middle East who would otherwise assist with relief.

Even environmentalists got in on the act, questioning whether Bush's air pollution policies contributed to global warming that strengthens storms. snip

Bush acknowledged disaster relief glitches as he toured Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, but he said he "completely disagrees" with assertions that the Iraq war and fighting terrorism diverted resources from infrastructure improvements and disaster relief.

3. Oh no! Can't do that! It's not the "proper time" to do that according to
to some disgusting DU'rs!

They were quite vocal in their scolding of us for being so "political" and "impolite"!

I will remember each and every one of their names.

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Silence now is criminal!
