3. the original Reuters link worked
Edited on Mon Oct-20-03 09:04 AM by Aidoneus
just cut/paste the whole thing--Reuters uses a semicolon in their links that fouls up directly clicking on it.

another from the Fallujah resistance, very active area as it consistantly seems to be.

earlier, or perhaps it was yesterday or a couple days ago, also 2 dead/1 injured from RPGs/AK fire in Kirkuk. A convoy in Baquba missed slightly by a roadside bomb, and a convoy in Hawija hit with "no casualties", and then that ammunition truck that went off like a fireworks building in Fallujah. Somebody was sure busy over the weekend..

6. Jeeze I didn't see this
I haven't heard a casualty report about the ammo truck exploding, though I really don't see how anyone could have lived through that.
The toll is building.

8. They're STILL LYING
The above article says brings to a total of "339" deaths. Yet on Friday is was 391. Unbelievable.

This report says 393. For God's Sake - YOU ARE REPORTERS! GET THE NUMBERS STRAIGHT! It must be so hard to be a journalist these days and have to lie, lie, lie.
http://lunaville.org/warcasualties/Details.aspx

The two US soldier deaths confirmed in this story have already been posted in a different (Reuters) story on the homepage. However, this story offers a bit more information about an RPG attack on a US ammunitions truck (which was mentioned in the Reuters story, but not in this detail).

"The US vehicle had exploded when assailants attacked a convoy apparently transporting weapons and ammunition in the town... witnesses said NONE of the occupants were seen emerging from the vehicle as it burst into flames."

Now, according to a military spokesman, there were NO casualties. How is this possible?

Iraqi insurgents renew attacks in Fallujah;
one GI killed, five wounded

TAREK AL-ISSAWI, Associated Press Writer Monday, October 20, 2003

Assailants ambushed a U.S. Army foot patrol outside Fallujah at
midday Monday, killing one American and wounding five others in the
second day of attacks in this anti-U.S. hotbed, the American command
reported. Two civilians also were killed.

The patrol, from the 82nd Airborne Division, was first hit by an
exploding homemade bomb, and then by small-arms fire, the military
said. Americans then raided a nearby mosque in an apparent search for
the attackers, and detained three Iraqis.

The bodies of two civilians were taken to Fallujah General Hospital,
where doctors said one was a Syrian truck driver who was hauling
cement from Lebanon to Baghdad when he was caught in the attack.

Two civilian trucks were damaged, one left dangling on a bridge,
apparently from what witnesses said was a rocket-propelled grenade
strike.

11. How many dead since Bring 'em On Bush taunted the killers of US troops?
This is the number the media should report rather than the number dead since the Carrier Costune Party.
