Giuliani, Sen. Clinton Disagree On Katrina Response

...

The man dubbed "America's Mayor" for his leadership following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, said it was not helpful to question decision-makers while the rescue work is ongoing.

"I don't know that I'd want, at this point, to be a critic," Giuliani said in Wednesday's edition of the Virginian-Pilot.

...

Clinton, the early front-runner in polls of Democrats who may run for the White House in 2008, said an independent commission styled after the one that investigated the Sept. 11 attacks would allow officials to continue their recovery efforts while finding answers on what went wrong.

...

"It's time to actually show that this government can be competent," she said on NBC's "Today" show Wednesday. "Every time anyone raises any kind of legitimate criticism and asks questions, they're attacked. Let's stop it. This is not a game."

Darn straight! Now THIS is how I expect my NYS Rep to act.

2. So Rudy wants a bigger gov't to do both at the same time?
Strange, coming from a republican.

I can't do shit for the people in NO, so I'll be manning the criticism channel and exploring how they fucked up. Glad I could help, Rudy?

5. That's cause Rudi got to work with Al Gore's FEMA
The one that Bush praised in a 2000 debate against Gore.

Nagin had to work with Bush's FEMA--the one that was gutted and handed over to political cronies with no emergency management experience.

No one's trying to pin blame. We are trying to prevent people who are clearly incompetent from presiding over the next emergency. One that could hit New York, or Las Vegas, or San Francisco, or any city in the nation. Do we want the same type of response from the same type of FEMA the day a biological weapon goes off in New York?

That's the issue, Rudi. I can tell you, cause I'm down here in Mississippi right now, that people are pissed. There are those who defend Bush down here, but they are the ones who shut up real quickly in an argument. They are the ones afraid of the reaction to their support of Bush, they are the ones unsure of their own arguments. People know, Rudi. It's too late to keep the cat in the bag. That cat is out, climbing a tree in your yard, and pretending he's not there is only going to make you look more out of touch than you already do.

Now isn't the time to argue about blame. Now is the time to fix the problem, remove those who have proven they are incapable of the job, and give the job to someone who can take it from here. Before it's your yard that's flooded, Rudi.

6. He's a dictator, always was
so naturally he doesn't want authority questioned, at this time, or in the future. He got away with his criminal negligence of the city he was sworn to protect, and profited wildly from the fact that he was there, posing for photo-ops, and benefited from a huge PR campaign, ignoring his lack of leadership, and his well-known racism, btw, which is why he should just disappear, right now.

Btw, what was he doing in London on 7/7? He's been hiding since the London bombings, refusing to explain his association with the 'drills' that took place there.

8. He even wanted to continue for another 6 months as mayor
when a new mayor had already been elected and was about to be sworn in.
