BAGHDAD, Sept 9 (Reuters) - The British company that polices Baghdad's
airport closed it to passengers on Friday for the second time in three
months, in another attempt to force the Iraqi government to pay what it
says are months of unpaid bills.

A senior spokesman for Iraq's Transport Ministry confirmed the airport
was closed over the money issue but said: "Within hours we will solve
the problem...We will pay them."

"We haven't been paid for seven months," Giles Morgan, a spokesman for
Global Strategies Group, which has guarded the airport with about 550
staff since the middle of last year.

He could not say how long the stoppage would last. Similar action in
June closed the Iraqi capital's main link to the outside world for two
days.

So let's see here, they don't trust the Iraqi's to guard their own airport, which, by the way, has one of the most dangerous routes to and from Baghdad, so they have a bunch of mercs do it. And they are doing just a bang up job, huh? These are same mercs that are being paid a couple of grand a day and now want a new contract.

So now moron* and the moron* puppets have to resort to plan Q, which is: have the Iraqi's protect their own airport. Well how the fuck about that, huh? It's just impossible to think, how on earth could they actually allow Iraqi's a in on a part of their own future and country??? :sarcasm:

So let's review: moron's* mafia contractor, pick your favorite one, hires mercs to "protect" the airport, but hell, even the mercs know it's a shit hole their and even a 2K a day, it's not a enough, so they go on strike, thus calling the puppets bluff. (I love how billions our tax money is being spent)

But what happens? out of the blue, the military decides, what the fuck, let's let the Iraqi's do the job. Now nothing agaist the Iragi's, but they really don't have a spectacular record when it comes to showing up and staying at a job when it involves shooting their own countrymen. So this latest move will be interesting to say the least.

However, as soon as those mercs get a new contract, they will promptly kick out the Iraqi's for showing them up.

This is an example of how truly fucked up that country is: Mercs who hate their job and do a lousy job of doing it or Iraqi's that don't want to be told what to do, because after all it's their own country and don't want a foriegn power telling them anything, least of all shooting their own.

So take your pick, the frying pan or the fire. You get to decide who is who.
