Cindy Sheehan arrives in San Francisco; meets with Feinstein staff
---------------------
SAN FRANCISCO
---------------------
Cindy Sheehan met in San Francisco today with a member of Senator Dianne Feinstein's staff.

Sheehan is trying to bring attention to her belief that the war in Iraq is sucking away resources that could be better used in the hurricane ravaged Gulf Coast.

Sheehan is the mother from Vacaville who camped outside of President Bush's Texas ranch, waiting for a second meeting with him that never came. Her son died in Iraq and she wanted some answers.

Feinstein was not at her office and did not meet with Sheehan.

Some Sheehan supporters hugged her and presented her with flowers. She won't be in town long. She's headed to the airport to hop a plane to Los Angeles to visit her ailing mother.

1. Figures that DiFi wouldn't meet with her.
She ignored the overwhelming response from her constituents urging her to vote against the IWR and voted for it based on "secret evidence" from the Senate Intelligence Committee. That of course proved to be bogus. Duh. To my knowledge, she still hasn't apologized for that outrage. She should have met with Sheehan. Feinstein is a continuing disgrace.

4. THAT
would be very cool! Go Cindy!

DiFi is a corporate whore and war profiteer. It is time to purge the Democratic party of these greedy sell outs.

5. Someone said there are really three parties, GOP, Dem, and...
Chamber of Commerce parasites who use whatever host is necessary to win elections.

DiFi clearly has that tapeworm.

6. She would have my vote
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 04:19 PM by One_of_8
Cindy, that is. I will never vote for Feinstein again, and I'll gladly work to help defeat her in the next election. She's buddy-buddy with Condi Rice, she was in favor of the new bankruptcy law, and she doesn't represent me, nor has she for a very long time. She's no more Democrat than Dick Cheney.

8. Not that I can find a story about...I've been looking
I've followed this story from day one and I can't figure out why not one single Senator will meet with her. Or why none would go down to Crawford with her to support her.

13. DiFi's refusal to meet with Cindy is inexcusable
but I would expect as much from her. At least Cindy forced her to show her hand: un-caring and pro-war.

Medea Benjamin is for real ! I voted for her when she ran against DiFi. Unfortunately she is not that well know on a state-wide basis.

Feinstein has to go.

14. DiFi emulates the Crawford Coward and hides from defending her vote
for IWR. I will never ever vote for DiFi again.

17. DiFi's as out of touch as shrub
But in her case it's her choice, as one of the rich and powerful, who doesn't want to have to be bothered by her constituents. Nevermind that its her effin job to represent us! :grr:
