NEW YORK (AP) - Holding up pictures of their loved ones and signs
that read "Preserve Sacred Ground," more than 500 relatives of
Sept. 11 victims rallied at the World Trade Center site Saturday
against a proposed museum.

Family members worry the International Freedom Center will take
attention away from those who died in the attack. They said the
museum should not be allowed to show exhibits about struggles for
freedom around the world.

"These are important stories to tell," said Jack Lynch, whose
firefighter son Michael Lynch is one of the 2,749 people who died at
the trade center. "Elsewhere, not at America's memorial."

The rally by more than a dozen family groups came a day before the
fourth anniversary of the terrorist attacks. A bouquet of white
flowers and several single, red roses were tucked into the metal
fence surrounding the site, while huge American flags hung outside
nearby office buildings.

1. 9/11 has nothing to do with freedom any more than Pearl Harbor did
9/11 and Pearl Harbor have to do with the fact that we were attacked by a self declared enemy of the US: al Qaeda and its allies on the one hand, and at the outset of WWII Japan and its allies.

To win this war against alQaeda and its allies, we need leadership focused on our enemy, not some willy-nilly nitwit political ploy hatched by chicken hawks to aggrandize their agenda and power base.

To follow the chicken hawk direction (they do not lead us into battle, they point the way for our bravest) has resulted in the loss of our blood, our treasure and all at the crippling expense of our military and domestic strength.

KNOW YOUR ENEMY! It is not terrorism, indeed many of our so-called allies are guilty of terrorism as are we: witness Abu Ghraib and Gitmo. Our enemy is alQaeda and its allies.

2. I agree with the families, the control of this museum
should be taken out of the hands of corporate America and politicians and put into the hands of the families. They should determine what goes in it.
