Iraq War Boosting Terrorism (said Germany's Federal Intelligence Director)

The war in Iraq is the single most important motivating factor in inspiring terror activity, said Germany's Federal Intelligence Director Ernst Uhrlau, when he spoke this week at the fifth annual conference on Terrorism's Global Impact.

"If we look back on terrorist attacks both successful and foiled in the last two years, it is striking that the main motivating factor has been the Iraq war," said Uhrlau.

It has given "Islamic terrorists the opportunity to directly fight against the west," said Uhrlau.

Rather than eradicating the terrorist threat, "the Middle East has become more unstable" as a result of the war in Iraq, said Uhrlau on Monday at the conference sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya.

And yet he cannot change it. His stubborn refusal to accept facts and science for platitudes and neo-con dogma just digs the hole for his legacy even deeper. This is just a short list of his “accomplishments:”

9/11 (Forewarned and ignored; perhaps even more.)

The Patriot Act that defies the rights of our own Constitution.

Dubious tax cuts (in a wartime that he created) plunging our deficit into the largest ever, and this after the greatest surplus.

Katrina: Willful disregard for the destruction of government services.

Cronyism and kickbacks: Halliburton, Medicare, FEMA, EPA, etc.

And still to come…
The destruction of the Social Security system.
The most extreme SCOTUS.

Whether or not you believe that he was ever truly elected, * IS and WILL be remembered as the WORST President EVER.
