Baghdad Road Bomb Wounds Two U.S. Soldiers

Wed October 22, 2003 12:51 AM ET

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A road bomb in central Baghdad exploded at dawn on Wednesday, slightly wounding two U.S. soldiers on patrol, a U.S. army spokesman said.

The blast took place in a central Baghdad highway tunnel about 6:40 a.m. (11:40 p.m. EDT) and struck a passing Humvee vehicle, said Captain Tommy Leslie of the 1st Armored Division.
