12. State representatives helping
They voted themselves a big pay raise and a lot of people are angry and want to throw the bums out - I think it will affect everything. It helps the democrats because most of the incumbents are republican.

3. Great numbers regarding Santorum
Those are awful for an incumbent, but 45% actually approve of senator man on dog?

6. underestimating Santorum...
You guys are underestimating Santorum. You really can't go by a local poll.. it's like using Mapquest.. it'll just shoot you in the wrong direction.

It doesn't matter what poll you use, local, statewide, registered voters, likely voters, people who farm Emus, whoever. Santorum trails by 12-24% in every poll you care to name.

8. Just keep a list of Santorum's quotes handy -
The Massachusetts liberals made the priests do it; He read the Bible from cover to cover (which he later admitted was a lie); People should have been prosecuted for not evacuating NOLA

out for blood re: Santorum. That's what ALL Democrats talk about, non-stop -- we're all going to work to our last drop of sweat, our last bit of shoe-leather, to stop Santorum in his tracks.

Casey is dull as dirt, and he's pro-life (and, I think, anti-stem-cell research). But his name is the same as his late father's. And last names are important in getting legislators elected in this state.

And Casey's a Democrat. And he's been way ahead of Ricky-Dog-Sex-Boy in the polls ever since he hinted he'd challenge Sanctimonium.

But we also have to deal with Lynn Swann's challenge to Fast Eddie Rendell (who has been having a bumpy ride with his constituents in some areas).

14. Rendell may find himself in trouble...
because he struck the pay raise deal with the Legislature. Everyone is also concerned with property taxes, so he has to come through with something on that because he made promises to do something about them. Act 72 was a huge flop. Now he is talking about making it mandatory. Don't know how that will go over.
