FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


ONE SOLDIER KILLED BY IED

LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq – One 56th BCT Soldier was killed by an improvised explosive device while conducting a combat logistics patrol at about 10:50 p.m. September 17, near Al Asad, Iraq. The Soldier was taken to a Coalition Forces medical treatment facility where he died of his wounds. The name of the Soldier is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

3. More bad news coming
someone we know is there and they lost three yesterday in the al doura region (sp?) and a 4th is critical. Others were treated for injuries. Two tanks destroyed.
