11. no, the Right-Wing is in power there
Since 2002; first in a coalition with the right-populist List Pim Fortuyn that lasted until early 2003. They won the re-election in 2003 (albeit barely).

13. Their right wing isn't the same as ours
Its really more about immigration, and if you've ever been there you'd know why. There truely is no more room.

About 4 times a year.
And yes: there is a basic liberalism in the Dutch society I've yet to see anywhere else.

5. No so grim
6 billion dollars from the world community is a drop in the bucket and the result of a LOT of arm-twisting.

12. It's about a third of our ante
It's about a third of our ante, and the Madrid conference begins today, right? Or tomorrow? And Kofi Annan is actively passing the hat for the Coalition Authority.

Grim.

16. Umm, that 6 Billion is mostly loans from the World Bank
Edited on Thu Oct-23-03 11:18 AM by Beetwasher
"World Bank (news - web sites) — $3 billion-$5 billion over five years."

These are loans, not grants....We've hardly got a billion in donations from the international community. That's unbelievably pathetic. But who could blame them? The money goes into Iraq and dissappears and there's no accountability...

15. take out the 7400 UK troops, and add it our numbers....
it't about 8% of the troops from others (not US/UK)...

this has got to be real nightmare in Iraq...spending lots of time/money trying to figure out what each little group of soldiers are saying to each other in all those languages...no wonder people are dying with such communication...

and what about the MILLIONS of OUR dollars that bush* gave to Poland to get a few troops...simply paid for by USA for the bush* follies...

+ Give us this day, our daily DEAD....Confront bush*, Jesus would !

come to DC and SF this Saturday (October25)
still time to get a bus ticket from cities all across America

23. "Support"?? You're kidding, right? Let's look more closely...
I don't see where the following NATO member countries and NATO partners have any choice but to provide at least some token of assistance. The same is true of those countries located in Central America, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, or the South Pacific. Iran is obviously doing whatever it can to avoid Iraq's fate. The World Bank will go anywhere if it means being able to turn a profit. Macedonia? Who knows.

Troops, and/or Non-Combat Personnel, and/or Monetary Pledges:
------------------
Current Members of NATO/European Union:

Belgium (Monetary pledges only)
Czech Republic
Denmark

NATO Partners in the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council:

Albania
Azerbaijan
Bulgaria
Estonia
Georgia
Kazakhstan
Latvia
Lithuania
Moldova
Romania
Slovakia
Sweden (Monetary pledges only)
Ukraine
---------------------
Central America and the Caribbean

Dominican Republic
El Salvador
Honduras
Nicaragua
---------------------
Southeast Asia and South Pacific:

who is paying the freight

For example, I understand we are responsible for all costs associated with the Polish troops - salary, expenses etc.

At last my ancestral countrymen have found their calling..As chauffers in Iraq! What a disgraceful end to a once proud people, licking the boots of the * invaders, hoping to get a small slice of the privatized pie. There is no honor in this. (sarcasm off)
