Rice plans Haiti visit to support election process

WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will travel to Haiti on Tuesday to show support for presidential elections set for Nov. 20.
During her daylong visit, she will meet with members of the interim government that has been in place since shortly after the departure of former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide in February 2004.

Rice also will meet with representatives of a U.N. peacekeeping force that has been attempting to preserve stability in the country as it prepares for the elections.

During her recent stay at the United Nations, Rice convened a meeting with representatives of countries that contribute aid to Haiti and troops to the peacekeeping force.

1. Translation: We've successfully removed the last elected official
and established martial law, so we're ready for you to vote again. We've also rigged the voting as best we can. Now, please elect a guy we like so we don't have to take over your country again.

4. You were telepathicly reading their minds
You read what they were thinking.

Didn't they already have an election process and freely elect a government? Oh, that's right, now I remember. The neocons didn't like who won so they overthrew the government and are now having an "election process" more to their liking.

5. I think I'm ~finally~ catching on to the "newspeak"
that they are using. I think I'm subconsciously reading through the bull automatically.

I'm starting to scare myself. :hide:
