Iranian students demonstrate against IAEA

Demonstrators appeared at the British Embassy in Tehran to protest U.S. and European efforts to refer Iran's nuclear program to the U.N. Security Council.

Hundreds of angry students Wednesday tried to infiltrate the security cordon imposed by police around the embassy building and burned tires outside the entrance.

The Iranian News Agency, IRNA, reported that the students shouted "Death to America, Death to Britain."

The students stressed Iran's right to possess nuclear technology for peaceful objectives and denounced the latest resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency, which accused Iran of violating the terms of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
