GOP agenda still viable, says Dent

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Republicans in the House, Senate and White House are under investigation, facing probes of campaign finance irregularities, potentially illegal stock trades and the leak of a classified CIA officer's name.

But U.S. Rep. Charlie Dent doesn't expect the GOP to be derailed this fall.

Dent, R-Lehigh Valley, says President Bush and the Republican majorities in the House and Senate will maintain their focus on top-priority legislation, such as an energy bill that would encourage companies to develop new oil refineries and oil and gas pipelines.

...

"The American people are most concerned about making sure that we win the war on terrorism and that we succeed in Iraq and that we address the issue of high energy prices," said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.

2. Viable?
It appears to be full steam ahead!

The only thing they haven't succeeded with was Social Security Reform. Probably a red herring anyway.

4. "address the issue of high energy prices," - is that like
Norton learning to play golf with Ralph Kramden.

RK: "Step 1. Address the ball."

Norton: "Hello, ball!"

5. The American people are more concerned
with cheap gas prices. The war on terror is unwinnable. It's a fake war, like the War on Drugs.

6. Scotty, baby...
The American people are most concerned with getting your asshole boss out of office and trying him in The Hague. What a wanker.
