Defensive, incoherent babble. IRBIL, Sept 30 (KUNA) -- Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Friday asserted that dialogue with Arab Sunnis are still ongoing to convince them to agree on the Iraqi constitution.
In a press conference, Al-Talabani called on all Iraqis to approve the constitution, noting that Sunni people made some recommendations on Arabic language in Iraq and the Iraqi relationships with the Arab and Islamic worlds.
He added that some Sunnis are trying to hinder the political process rather than negotiating on it, and the government will continue to negotiate with them, noting that many Sunni people approve the current draft of the constitution, but some others do not agree on the constitution even if all their demands were met.
In response to a question, Talabani said there were no disagreements between the Kurdistan Coalition and the Shiite Iraqi United Coalition. Rather, the disagreement is between the Kurdistan Coalition and the Iraqi prime minister, as he does not implement the protocols signed with the Kurdish Coalition and makes unilateral decisions.
