Despite War on Terror Alliance, Many Pakistanis Still Denounce America

Oct. 26 — At a mosque in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, that has a reputation as moderate, Imam Jamil ur-Rahman’s sermon at Friday prayers made the point that your conduct is influenced by the company you keep — and Pakistan does not keep good company when allied with America.

"I'm telling the Americans listening," Hamidullah said at the time, "we will gouge out their eyes with our fingers."

Now 9 years old, Hamidullah says he still chants his Koran every day, still understands no Arabic, and still believes, "America is cruel towards the Muslims, and they are cruel to our brothers in Afghanistan and to Osama bin Laden."

Hamidullah's ambition is to go on jihad, to fight for the Taliban.
