1. Now the question is.. where?
I caught some news flash on MSNBC, the tail end of it.. something about 10 soldiers.. I dunno if they were dead or injured. But I surely heard something about 10 soldiers, so Im interested to see if the number is going to increase.

2. This is all getting me angrier and angrier...
I don't think I have ever been more angry, frustrated, alienated or discouraged about the future of the United States and our leadership in Washington, AND in many state capitals. I sometimes think I should take a breather from politics until the presidential campaign heats up in earnest.

The "3 dead" number may just be a compilation of casulties just being reported on now from Sunday

FOX just restored the "3 dead" tagline. Apparently it was 3 separate attacks, though we don't know what this outcome of these bombing is just yet.

Two soldiers were killed and two others wounded Sunday in Baghdad after their patrol was targeted by a roadside bomb. The soldiers belonged to the 1st Armored Division, a military statement said. In Abu Ghraib, on the western edge of Baghdad, one soldier was killed and two wounded Sunday after an attack on their Military Police unit, according to the statement

>Meanwhile, three American soldiers were killed and four wounded in two separate attacks in Iraq, the U.S. military said Monday.
Two soldiers were killed and two others wounded Sunday in Baghdad after their patrol was targeted by a roadside bomb. The soldiers belonged to the 1st Armored Division, a military statement said. In Abu Ghraib, on the western edge of Baghdad, one soldier was killed and two wounded Sunday after an attack on their Military Police unit, according to the statement.<

The first part of the article is about the Red Cross bombing

>BAGHDAD, Iraq - A suicide bomber drove an ambulance packed with explosives into security barriers outside the international Red Cross building on Monday, and an American general said about 10 people were killed in the blast. The bombing came a day after insurgents attacked a Baghdad hotel, killing a U.S. colonel.<

13. So that would make 5 (five) total for Sunday alone (by my count)
To wit:

1 - US Army Colonel killed in rocket attack on al-Rashid Hotel;
1 - 4th ID dies of non-hostile gunshot wound, Baquba;
1 - killed in mortar attack, Abu Gharib prison;
2 - 1st AD soldiers killed by IED, Baghdad

(BTW, it is really not "hard to keep up" if you read the actual stories. Of course, it is hard to keep up emotionally, as this slaughter simply goes on and on and on...)
