BAGHDAD (Reuters) - A rocket-propelled grenade attack Monday killed a U.S. soldier and wounded six others in Baghdad, the U.S. military in Iraq (news - web sites) said Tuesday.

The death brings to 114 the number of U.S. soldiers who have been killed by hostile fire since President Bush (news - web sites) declared major combat over on May 1 in the war that ousted Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) as Iraqi leader.
