NEW YORK (AP) -- A senior inspector for the U.S. Marshals Service found shot to death on a New York street apparently committed suicide while on duty, police said Tuesday.

The body of Matthew S. Healey, 38, was found on a sidewalk in Harlem early Monday with a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said. A 15-year supervisor in the marshals service, he had been on his way to meet another deputy U.S. marshal.

I went back to read what was originally reported on this. This article has more information than I previously read:

So they found one of his guns at a different location. There were three shell casings. They originally said homicide. Hmmmmmm.
