U.S. Raises Value of Iraq Oil Repair Work
snip........(not much here)

The Army Corps said the value of the work in the southern portion of the country could now go as high as $1.2 billion and the work in the north of Iraq could be as high as $800 million. Previously both contracts had a $500 million maximum value.

Award of the work, replacing a no-competition contract given to Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg Brown & Root in March, is expected to occur in the next 30 to 60 days, the Army Corps said.

3. Now why is that not surprising
As long as Halliburton is involved in Iraq, the money will continue to flow to them.
