Sleeping with the enemy....
Edited on Thu Oct-30-03 12:07 AM by D__S
or how one persons misguided, personal obsession shapes national politics.

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/7128971.htm

WASHINGTON - Congressional Republicans welcomed Arnold
Schwarzenegger (news - web sites) to Capitol Hill Wednesday with
words of praise and plenty of stargazing for the governor-elect who
delivered California from the Democrats. ...

8< snip...

Feinstein said she was willing put aside old scores and work with Schwarzenegger.
"What's past is past. One of the ways that I think we have to go is to turn the page and move on," she said.
Added Schwarzenegger: "You have to understand the way it works in politics - she's not going to come out and cut a commercial for me. We will be working together like a jewel."
The governor-elect promised to support Feinstein's effort to extend a federal ban on assault weapons, which has been a signature issue for her for many years.

This woman is just another one-note-tuba.

1. Yeah, right.
I saw Dianne on CNN today...all cozied up...sitting next to Arnold...all smiles!

I wanted to puke! :puke:

Everyone in Washington is following this idiot around like he is the 'Saviour' for California...and, god knows what else.

But, what really pissed me off...was when I heard Bob Novak ask today on "Crossfire"..."should we get rid of the 22nd amendment so Arnie can run for president?"

:wtf:

2. Did Nofacts really say that?
Does he believe that Arnie has already been elected President, twice?

4. Novak has been talking to Karl Rove again.
Last time they talked, it was about a Bush critic's CIA spy wife. Now Rove has told Bob Novak of his grand plan to put Arnold in the VP slot in 2004, replacing Cheney. The Bush family will use Arnold the way they used Ronald Reagan to put Poppy Bush into power.

Last year, Senator Hatch, at Karl Rove's suggestion, tried to get a Senate bill passed to allow non-born citizens like Arnold to be President. This master plan of Karl Rove's has been in the works long before Darrel Issa started the California recall event.

3. There's an awful lot of Dem bashing going on around here

What's with that?

You're criticizing Feinstein for a position she's long held?

I think it would be much more interesting to see how Arnold's endorsement of the federal assault weapons ban washes with the GOP.

It's not at all surprising that Feinstein says, "What's past is past." Do you expect her to boycott Arnold? That would make as much sense as the Dem Reps and Senators boycotting Congress because Shrub stole the election. Or do you propose we just do away with the institutions of governor and Congress until Arnold's and Shrub's terms have expired?

One note tuba, indeed!
