ARNOLD ACCUSER WANTS MSNBC APOLOGY (Scarborough)

A woman who accused Arnold Schwarzenegger of groping her is now threatening to sue MSNBC and possibly host Joe Scarborough.
Lawyers for Rhonda Miller, a Hollywood stunt double who appeared in at least two of Schwarzenegger's films, have sent MSNBC a legal letter.

"We think an appropriate retraction would be for Scarborough to state uncategorically that any statements that Rhonda Miller was a felon or had a criminal record . . . are false," said Miller's lawyer, Paul Hoffman.

...On the Oct. 6 edition of "Scarborough Country," Kim Serafin, a conservative talk-show host and MSNBC analyst, accused Miller of being convicted of multiple drug and prostitution charges.

The allegations were soon proved to be false after it was learned that a different woman with the same name and lengthy criminal past had been misidentified in a memo leaked to the media.

without even checks to see if there was a mistaken identity.

My understanding is that it was the responsibility of the various polling districts to do the checking. One area checked only when the pollster's name was on it.

She should sue, get some backing from Soros or a big money backer like Scaife funded Paula Fox(I think was her name) and sue MSNBC and that sleazy, steroid use gone wrong, bastare, Arnold.

10. California libel lawyer checking in here

and assuming this Hollywood stunt woman lives in Cal and would file here, this would be a pretty good case. The law requires that a news organization be given a prompt demand to retract, which they then have a short time (month to month and a half) to publish the retraction. If they do retract, then most of the damages go away as against MSNBC and JS. Look for this retraction, because Cal libel laws are excellent for plaintiffs when accused of criminal conduct. If the Schwarzenegger campaign passed the memo, look for them to be sued anyway.
