WASHINGTON - President Bush is pushing democracy in Asia this week. But he may be missing it at home.

Bush didn't request a mail-in ballot for next Tuesday's GOP primary in Texas. He didn't vote early before heading to Afghanistan, India and Pakistan. And he's not scheduled to return to the U.S. until Sunday, two days after the end of early voting.

I guess she doesn't want to chance loosing in the primaries and plans to act as a spoiler in November (probably hoping to force a run-off).

Senator from Texas. I think you are thinking of Scott McClellans mother. Her name escapes me in the moment. She started out as a Democrat, switched parties, became a republican and now she is an independent so she won't have to fight Good Hair in the primaries.

2. Don't Worry....

He'll vote late if he has to. It's not like he's a regular citizen. He's King, so he can do whatever he wants. He'll just vote a few days later.

Oh....and his votes count 100 times as much, since he's King and all.

3. That would make Bush officially independent

as in Texas, you are a member of the party in whose primary you choose to vote. Voting in Democratic primary makes you a registered Democrat in Texas. If you vote in neither, you legally are considered independent and can sign Carol Keeton etc.'s petition to get on the ballot as an independent for governor.
