Army suspends 14 California recruiters pending investigation

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Fourteen Army recruiters have been suspended from their duties because of allegations that they falsified documents at recruiting stations.

An army probe is focusing on two recruiting stations in Oxnard and Santa Maria according to a an assistant chief of staff for the U-S Army Recruiting Command.

I know for a fact the local ones where I grew up payed local "party girls" even in the underage range to entertain potential recruits. It's not a real damn clean business getting kids to sign away their right to decide whether or not they will kill. surprise, surprise.

4. They get shifted to cold calling phone banks or doing (no joke)

"paperwork" for other recruiters, or doing supply runs--they just aren't "on production." If I had to guess, I'll bet they are manufacturing high school diplomas, and they'd better hope they aren't forging birth certificates or green cards...

When life is all about "making mission" or "making goal" depending on your branch of service, not making it spells absolute misery. Some crack under the strain, and do things, like cheat on the paperwork or try to game the system or lie to recruits, in order to get those butts on the bus.
