KUWAIT, March 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Saturday signed an agreement on economic and technical cooperation with Cuba and the documents were initialed by Finance Minister Bader Al-Humaidhi and the Cuban Minister of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Marta Lomas Morales.

The ministry statement said the agreements cover cooperation, in terms of exchange of information and data, in the field of technical research and means of keeping up with international trends and developments in economic legislation.

The agreement would also facilitate training of specialists and exchange of products, services, and projects between the two parties.

The agreement, the statement adds, is inline with the requirements and guidelines of the World Trade Organization and its agreements.

The two states, virtue of this agreement, are to set up a joint committee presided by the Kuwaiti Finance Ministry and the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation.

As the US (actually, Bush) expands sanctions, the world opens up to Cuba.

on edit: FWIW, Cuba is not a member of the WTO.

1. We should bomb Kuwait next...and then invade Cuba
If Saddam can invade Kuwait and take its wealth, so can we! For Halliburton and Bechtel and everybody else who loves to make money off of everything including war!

3. Makes the USA look bad, not just Bush.
The sanctions on Cuba have been in place for 45+ years, thru ten presnits. Same goes for the travel ban the US government has on American travel to Cuba.

When will the American populace demand representation?

Poll: Americans don't support Cuban Sanctions
