Many companies plan more outsourcing
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=48765b76415de1b0

Eighty-nine percent of U.S., British and Asian corporate technology decision makers plan to increase their outsourcing budget over the next 12 months.

A survey conducted at the Patni Computer Systems annual conference PatniConnect, found that 39 percent said they expect to increase outsourcing spending by up to 20 percent over current spending, while 11 percent plan a 50 percent or more increase.

Pricing is not the most important factor in selecting an outsourcing partner, the survey found.

I hope they get what they deserve Karma... These are not Americans or Brits ...

1. Cultural fit my a$$
Twenty-four percent said cultural fit is the top factor for incorporating outsourcing strategies, and 24 percent said the most important factor is quality of service. Fourteen percent of respondents said price is their single most important factor in selecting an outsourcer.

2. Almost every single caller into C-Span today
was seriously pissed about the outsourcing. Many, many of them called it "war against the middle class," and one guy asked one of Clinton's ex-cabinet heads to tell him how Dems and Repubs are not all "economic traitors."

Of course, he defended the practice, and a man called and said even though the cabinet guy was a Democrat, he was a "good Christian man" who supports the REpubs.

Blech.

3. The article doesn't specify
that these corporate decision makers plan on outsourcing to foreign companies in foreign countries. That's what the real problem is.

5. This is truly part of the plan:
destroy the middle class. There is only the need for the wealthy and the poor. Take away all social welfare programs and foster the value that people need to take care of themselves. Then the wealthy turn a blind eye on everything except themselves.

We need to fight this tooth and nail. Bush is starting the meme that it is silly to be against outsourcing. F*ck that.

6. And they get a fucking TAX BREAK to do it!!!! Bill Gates is the worst.
That's what is truly galling. They are screwing us over, and getting rewarded. I find Bill Gates to be the most offensive of all! He whines about the quality of education in this country, constantly. He uses that as an excuse for outsourcing YET he is destroying the breadwinner jobs in America, and the middle class, by sending jobs to other countries so THEY have a middle class. I have no idea if Bill Gates is an intelligent man... but can someone explain to that guy that by cutting the JOBS of PARENTS in America he is SCREWING the education of their children? Geez.. I don't have to have a 48,000 square foot house like HE does to figure that out. You screw over the parents, the kids will suffer. You take away earning power of families, school revenues will suffer. You outsource their jobs, the stress of financial struggles HURT the children. You take all of our jobs to India? Parents will work two or three low wage jobs to make up the lost breadwinner job, and the kids will be left to fend for themselves. HOW can ANY of these assholes claim that they are "christian" or "moral" or "concerned about the education of children here" when they are screwing them all. This is a campaign theme that I thought Kerry did not capitalize on enough.. John Edwards seems more like a fighter for this, As does Al Gore.

7. Destruction of our middle class...
...and done in full view with the consent of leading Democrats.

No wonder the public increasingly has no faith in the political system.

10. Done with the consent of the middle class!
We could have voted these assholes out of office in 04!We could have had a Ports deal like response to CAFTA,didn't happen!Even here at DU free trade doesn't get half the response as abortion or judges or any of the other issues that almost shut down the board. So we all share in our own destruction.Until we can muster that kind of response we will keep losing our livelyhoods and our rights!

12. What consent?
What consent is involved when the choice is between the Republican outsourcer and the Democratic outsourcer?

As long is the choice is nonexistent, I can't agree that we "all share in our own destruction." Outsourcing is economic poison for the middle class; we don't need it delivered any more by their side than by our side.

13. Pricing is not the most important factor
Americans are getting too damn dumb to do much but praise Bush*. Americans just can't do the jobs required. They don't have the education.
