By 2010, women will own more than 50 percent of stock in the United States.

Also by 2010, U.S. women will represent 50 percent of the private wealth in America, or about $14 trillion, M2W -- The Marketing to Women Conference -- reported. By 2020, that number is expected to rise to $22 trillion.

Women are already the majority users of the Internet and have surpassed men as the primary consumers of computers, cameras and PDAs, M2W reported.

12. In my case, my company allowed the Fed maximum $ amount to be

contributed to a 401K while hubby's was maxed as a percentage of pay (12% or 15%). My income was designated to be "socked" away and for discretionary spending while his was used to pay the bills for living expenses. (Besides, I made more) :evilgrin:

perhaps what is being measured is different? The assumption somewhere on the thread that the explanation is widowhood/combined wealth as the only where there could be parity to be interesting. Perhaps a comment that women do not earn as much or that women's incomes are pushed more towards living expenses and thus less towards investments?

to hear women are majority users of internet since 75% of the people on the internet at any one time are into porn. Plus, they were trying so hard to get girls and women interested just a few years ago. Something is wierd about that poll.
