Prosecution Says Moussaoui Trained to Lie
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Prosecutors in Zacarias Moussaoui's death penalty trial sought Tuesday to show his lies are standard operating procedure for al-Qaida, presenting evidence that members of the terrorist group are carefully scripted to deceive when caught.

FBI agent Michael Anticev, testifying for a second day, offered the jury a primer on al-Qaida cover stories and the organization's techniques of deception when cell members are questioned.

gotta love a trial that admits 'evidence' based on torture, and this tactic is just hilarious, blaming him for the fuckups of the fbi and us intel.

6. My thoughts exactly--who's the terra boss? Doctor No? Doctor Evil?
Does he live in a lair with a bunch of uniformed henchmen, all of whom obey without question when the evil leader gives an order? Does he have sophisticated equipment, the likes of which we ordinary mortals have never seen? Does he have mind control powers that will turn his willing subordinates into completely obedient zombies?

As Ricky said to Lucy: That's just so rideeeeeeeeeeeeeeculous!!!!!!!

5. LOL, I caught the prosecutor's plan today and immediately thought
"and this is different from the bush cabal how?". Oh, I can think of one difference, the bush cabal doesn't need to be tortured to lie, they learned it from birth.

8. I don't buy the "it would have all been different" claim...
If the FBI knew of all the various al Qaeda operatives that were taking flight training, how could the lies of a single one have caused the FBI to fail to follow up with any of the others? How is it that the FBI itself blocked the attempt to get a subpoena to examine Moussaoui's computer hard drive until AFTER 9/11? How can it be that a known al Qaeda operative was able to lie so convincingly and to so completely fool the FBI that all the intel & intercepts that they had that pointed to 9/11 were completely ignored?

No, I'm sorry, They're attempting to lay 9/11 on Moussaoui's doorstep when in fact it was their own incompetance and their opwn actions (and inactions) that directly assisted al qaeda on 9/11. Moussaoui's lies had little or no affect on their actions (they said so themselves back then).

I'm not advocating that he be freed or anything, but this is a stupid argument in this trial and is given because they are simply vindictive. They would torture him to death if they were allowed to simply because he claims allegiance to OBL & al Qaeda.

Rep. Curt Weldon, R-Pa., said Tuesday he assumed the defense
wants to ask about his knowledge of Able Danger, a classified
military intelligence unit. He said he does not believe that
information is pertinent to Moussaoui's case.

``I think Moussaoui is a thug. I think he deserves to be given the
harshest punishment that our country can afford. I don't have any
additional information to help them understand what Moussaoui's
role was,'' Weldon said at a news conference.

Weldon said he believes he has congressional immunity from the
subpoena.

Moussaoui will either receive life in prison or the death penalty depending on
whether the jury finds he was aware of the Sept. 11 plot with enough specificity
to have warned US officials of the plan when he was arrested in
August of 2001, thus preventing the terror attacks. Moussaoui's defense lawyers
have attempted to compel the testimony of US Rep. Curt Weldon R-PA
who was recently subpoenaed as a witness to the extent of the government's knowledge
of the identities of Sept. 11 hijackers before the terror attacks.

Weldon does not want his testimony to potentially aid the defense of an admitted
terrorist, and has claimed official immunity from a subpoena.

11. Fitzgerald convicted the 1993 WTC bombers
You can read all of the transcripts from the trial on line.

The defendants seemed to be pretty straight forward about what they did and their involvement with al Qaeda.

Here's a link to all of the documents - http://cryptome.org/usa-v-ubl-dt.htm

I think that trial disproves the prosecutors assertions in this case.

However, Moussaoui is a nut cake and a very unreliable source. He's more of an al Qaeda wanna be, rather the mastermind and key player that the prosecution is trying to convince us.

:hi:

The defense contends the government knew more about the
terrorists' plans than Moussaoui, and still was unable to prevent the attacks.

Mastermind?
