Nephew takes stand in support of Bush (Pierce - Neil's Kid)
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/nation/3713578.html

He refrained from working on his uncle's presidential campaigns, and he confesses to being a bit fed up with the squabbling on Capitol Hill. But if his e-mail outbox is any indication, Pierce G. Bush is one of the Bush dynasty's more politically vocal members these days.

When the political firestorm over Dubai Ports World broke out last month, President Bush's nephew sent the Houston Chronicle an electronic letter to the editor, defending his uncle's drive to allow the United Arab Emirates company to buy a firm that helps run six U.S. ports.

To the University of Texas at Austin student, opposition to the deal — it had been approved by the administration before being scuttled Thursday — sent an "ignorant and offensive" message that the owners were being discriminated against because they are Arab. The protests of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., and other congressional leaders seemed "racially prejudiced," he said in the letter, which the Chronicle published.

Pierce, a graduate of the Kinkaid School of Houston, which President Bush attended, is the son of presidential brother Neil Bush and Sharon Bush of Houston.

8. In the future,
Beware and be very afraid of a person that wants to run for office and their last name is Bush.

That is the mafia crime syndicate. They are truly worse than the Mafia.

At least the Mafia might be sympathetic to some causes.

This family is made up of PURE GREED.

24. Yeah, exactly.
But then it's his divine right as a Bush to send the less fortunate sons (and daughters) to invade the country of his choice.

He'll need a little help from invisible hands to get in position to exercise that right, however. If Daddy (Neil) hadn't been such a huge fuck-up on every possible level, he'd be there right about now.

35. Saw the video of this 19 year old
Bush kid. Disgusting that Bush is dragging out members of his family to trumpet his excellence, but this is the silliest. Every other word that came out of Neil's kid was "you know". Made reference a few times that he had a hard days night, didn't get much sleep, etc. Just like his uncle ? Charming. Would look great in uniform.

11. I remember
when Pierce and his 'father' were on some pundit's show once - I was NOT impressed. He was about 13 then and a pain in the ass teenager - yakking it up while daddy was just beaming in the background.

I seem to remember that there was talk about him being autistic and not able to attend public school.

I might have that all wrong- there was some - possibly imagined 'disability'- but I do remember very well that he was an asshole then, as well.

32. Anyone see the video of the red-haired Chimpy on the Today show?
And yes, he not only looks like his Uncle Chimpy, but he is clearly as stupid as his Uncle "You know what I'm saying?" (he kept saying that line to the woman interviewing him)...

:puke:

Clearly, neither looks, nor brains, run in this family...

40. At the rate & actions of the Bush family, we may very well all be dead
:scared:

Whether it be by the fact that they may take us into Nuclear War and WWIII or by the failure to pay attention and reduce the effects to Global Warming and Climate Change, or making us all vulnerable to terrorists attacks or being incapable of saving and protecting us from Avian Flu or natural disasters, we may all very well be dead from the actions and failures of this family.

Yes, this young "man" (hardly) may actually be more stupid than his Uncle. He sounded like a completely illiterate and uneducated person who acted as if he was so superior in his knowledge than others. Even his suggestion about "getting phone calls from the White House staff or his Uncle" on important issues (and his seemingly shocked attitude that he hadn't heard from them) was laughable if it wasn't so scary.

His suggestions of Xenophobia regarding Arabs (well, we all know the Bush Family is such close friends of Arabs) and the completely inaccurate comparison to the internment and phobia of the Japanese during WWII, just further emphasized his Bush-distorted view of the world.

Ofcourse, he failed to mention the fact that his daddy, Neil Bush, who was part of the whole Silverado Savings & Loan failures and who is banned from banking, is meanwhile a big, big friend of the UAE and has been involved in deals with them to further the bank of the Bush Family fortunes.

A downhome Damien indeed....truly frightening.

PS: Hey Mazie :hi: I'm flattered that as a member since '04 and with only 13 posts, you found this thread and my comment important enough to respond too.

41. Pachamama, I've been relying on DU as my main news source
for many years. I'm not a prolific poster and I probably will never make it to 1000 posts. I realize that makes me the object of some suspicion, but, trust me, I am very familiar with the BFEE and have no doubt that they'll groom this ass clown for office one day. Of course, given the track record of the younger bush generation, he may also end up in jail or rehab. Not that the latter would preclude the former, as long as he's "born again"

I was really disturbed by how much he looks like the chimperor (including the smirk), but with that crazy Howdy-Doody red hair & freckles.
