Donald Rumsfeld makes $5m killing on bird flu drug
..... Another good 'merican enjoys the repuke "good life"......
Donald Rumsfeld has made a killing out of bird flu. The US Defence Secretary has made more than $5m (£2.9m) in capital gains from selling shares in the biotechnology firm that discovered and developed Tamiflu, the drug being bought in massive amounts by Governments to treat a possible human pandemic of the disease.

4. Not the first time he's made a killing on a drug or a chemical
He pushed President Ford to provide the swine flu vaccine which ended up killing dozens of people and injuring hundreds more.

He was also recently at the helm of G.D. Searle when the new Reagan FDA approved Aspartame almost immediately after Reagan's inauguration despite years and years of no approval by the FDA prior to that.

11. But can he spend it in hell?
I don't really believe in hell, but if I did, and there was any human being on earth right now who deserves to go there, it would be Rumsfeld.

12. Gonna K&R this one
Here's a little blast from the past: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/aponline/20010123/aponline142342_000.htm

Apparently, Donald R's financial disclosure form, which he submitted prior to being approved as secretary of defense, is 94 pages long. I thought these guys had to put their holdings in blind trusts, like the president does upon taking office, but it was either never true or it's no longer true. Anyway, this guy managed to make money hand over fist between the time Ford left office and Bush II entered it.
