Biden: Troops Should Come Home in Summer
WASHINGTON - The U.S. should pull troops from Iraq after this summer if the political conditions in the country do not improve, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said Sunday.

Sen. Joseph Biden (news, bio, voting record) of Delaware, who is aiming for the 2008 presidential race, said the Iraqis must have a constitution that unites fighting factions of the society or "it's game over."

"We can't want peace in Iraq more than the Iraqis want it," Biden said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "We can't want it more than they want it. And if they don't step up to the ball, we're going to be gone."

Biden said if knew what he knows now when Congress voted on the Iraq war resolution, he would have opposed it. "This has been a debacle," he said.

1. Biden's an untrustworthy whore
I hate to say it, but he'll put his finger in the wind and say whatever will serve him at the time.

I will welcome with open arms any of them who will help stop this war.

I hope Biden sticks to his "bring 'em home by summer" position.

REDEEM YOURSELF! spineless Dems and help us get out of this bloody quagmire!

5. Even Biden sees that the window for success closed down when Bush
refused to do a major withdrawal immediately after the elections, as in Kerry's withdrawal plan.

That would have sent the most invaluable signal to the Iraqis that we had no interest in occupying their country or enriching ourselves on their resources.

But, you just can't expect Bush to do the right thing at the right time, ever.

3. It just wouldn't be a Sunday without Joe Biden on the morning TV shows
I've never seen someone who likes to hear himself talk more than that pompous ass.

4. Or Lieberman
Or when it is an issue of religion or gays, they always bring Falwell to speak for all Christians.

7. no sh*t
A debacle. Only thing is Joe, we knew it. We predicted it. Why weren't ya'll listening?
Remember, people were locked out of Hillary and Kerry offices. PEACE protesters. Locked out by our democratic "leaders". It isn't like no one knew there were no WMDs. We knew. Just pay attention.

10. Biden blames the victims
"They don't step up to the ball"?

He acts like the US is a benevolent bystander and the Iraqis are the criminals.

This is sick Establishment talk.

13. Biden is not a leader, he is a follower.
He follows whatever beliefs are popular at the moment. This is not a man we want on the Oval Office. Not that he has a chance of getting there, but, just sayin'.

17. The man hasn't had an original thought
the whole time he's been in office....

Yet he remains a colossal narcissist. Worse, his speech patterns are almost as irritating to listen to as Lieberman's simpering. How either of them get elected on that point alone has always been beyond me.

14. Biden happily voted for the Iraq "debacle".
Biden knew beforehand Iraq was a mistake, cheney was in charge, and Bush was an idiot. If Biden feels misled, I must of missed him upholding his sworn Congressional Oath and call for an investigation/impeachment too.

Biden for the new pretzeldent

Yammering on the Sunday talk shows again.

As long as that's the face the Democratic party chooses to show, it's going to keep on losing....

18. Biden knows that the Iraqis aren't gonna operate those fourteen
military installations that the U.S. has build during the last three years. It will take between three and five thousand military personal to keep 'em open and to defend them.
